Dopamine on Tap inspired the disruptive, sensorial installation In Colour by Sunshine Coast based artist Alison Mooney. The installation, on display at Umbrella from 18 August - 24 September 2023, draws viewers into the physical experience of being inside an expanded painting.

Visual artist, creative strategist and former journalist, Alison Mooney is passionate about connecting people to experiences and information that adds value. She loves disruption and curiosity as a tool towards cultural development, and champions the role artists have in evolving the human experience. Mooney first showed her paintings publicly in 2009 which led to her delivering seasonal group exhibitions, workshops and projects as MARS (2010 - 2015) before co-founding an independent contemporary art space, theGRID: hybrid arts collective in Toowoomba (2012 - 2015). Focussing on her own artistic enquiries since 2015, Mooney’s practice includes studio paintings, public murals, and interactive immersive experiences - the focus always on engaging the mind through curiosity.
