Ron McBurnie is a practicing artist and lecturer who lives in Townsville.
After completing his undergraduate Diploma at Queensland College of Art in1978 and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching in 1979, Ron was a full time lecturer at Townsville College of TAFE 1980-85 and James Cook University from 1986- 2010. He completed a Master of Fine Creative Art in 2000. He is currently an Adjunct Lecturer in the School of Creative Arts, James Cook University, Townsville.
Although his work relates strongly to the tropical environment of North Queensland where he lives, it also draws its inspiration from an earlier tradition of British and European printmaking and painting.
This work is on display at Umbrella from 3 May to 16 June 2024 as part of Ron McBurnie's exhibition Still Searching. If you purchase this print online, it will be shipped after the exhibition closes from Monday 17 June.
